>From now on I am goint to send these to both the
news list and the discussion list.
If you get it twice you can safely delete one of them.
Schedule
============
The schedule of the conference seems to be quite stable now.
There were a few minor changes since I published it
originally but it looks quite ok now.

Population
===========
One of the most un-nerving situations during the organization
was about 4 days before the early-bird dead line. There
were 36 speakers and 5 or 6 paying visitors. The whole
conference seemed like a dead idea. Then, just in the last 4
days over 50 people paid their particiaption fee.
It was still a low number but the picture was definietly much
brighter.
We had very similar situations in the previous YAPCs but because
of the scale of this conference things seemed a lot worse than
in the previous years.
The latest head count of people who confirmed their participation
in some way is 152.
History
============
As I already posted on the discussion list Larry Wall has arrived
and we had a nice dinner in Jerusalem:

Now you can see what are my photo skilz, so you better prepare
your own camera for the conference....
Conference Dinner
=================
On Sunday, 26th Febrary 2006, the first day of the conference
we are going to have a dinner. Every attendee of the conference
is invited. The dinner is included in every conference pass.
This might be another good chance to talk to fellow developers.
Meet Audrey, Larry and the other speakers.
Hackathon
========
Tomorrow, on 21st February, we are heading to the north.
About 10 people including Audrey, Larry, Gaal, Yuval Kogman
will stay on Arbel for 5 days and will work on Pugs,
the first implementation of Perl6.

If you are interested to follow what are they doing you can point your
browser to http://www.pugscode.org/ or better yet, join #perl6 on IRC.

Gabor
